💥 NEW You can insert multiple subitem tables into your document, each with its own filters. More here. |
ℹ️ This article discusses filtering subitems. If your are looking to filter main board items, check out this article. |
⚠️ Filtering subitems is currently available in DocuGen item views. It is not available in DocuGen board views. |
If you're generating a document from an item that has associated subitems, you can insert a table of the subitems into your document.
Say you have an item that represents a sales order with subitems that represent the line items on the order. Say that some line items are products and some are services:
In the example above, we have four line items in the subitems. Two are products (USB Hub and Bluetooth Headphone) and two are services (Installation and Delivery.)
You would like to insert two tables into your document, one for products and another one for services: This will insert all the subitems associated with the item that's generating the document. You can also filter the subitems so that the table inserted into the document will only include subitems that meet specific criteria.
- In the DocuGen item view, go to Settings > Subitems
- Click on the edit button
for the relevant table, or create a new table
- Click on the Filter button:
- Specify the filter conditions and click the back button
