You can create a complete workflow that generates documents using DocuGen and sends them out for signature using OP.Sign -- all with one click! Here is how the complete flow looks like:
Instructions to set up document generation:
1. On your board, create the following columns:
a. A button column to generate documents and trigger the workflow
b. A file column to receive the document generated by DocuGen
c. A status column to track the status of your document when it goes out for e-signature
d. A link column to store the signed document
e. An email column for the recipient
2. Add a DocuGen board view to your board and make sure you do the following in the Settings tab:
a. Under Document Delivery Options, select the option to save the the file column you created in step 1 above:
b. Select the option to generate a PDF document:
c. Ideally, you will also want to use your own document template for document generation:
3. Go to “Integrations” at the top of your board and search for DocuGen integrations, then click on the integration called “When this button is clicked, generate document using settings from view.” (Make sure you fill the exact name of your DocuGen board view from step 2 above.)
Voila! You should now be able to generate documents by clicking on the button. Now let's set up the e-signature part.
Instructions to set up e-signature:
4. Make sure you have OP.Sign installed on your monday.com account
5. Go to "Integrations" at the top of your board and search for OP.Sign integrations, then click on the integration called "When the Status changes to Value, send the Doc..."
a. Status is the status column from step 1.c. above
b. Value, Success, and Failure are up to you. We recommend to use "Send". "Signed", and "Rejected", respectively.
c. Doc is the file column from step 1.b.
d. Email is the email column from step 1.e.
e. Column is the link column from step 1.d.
That's it! Whenever you click the button column DocuGen will create a PDF and store it in the file column. You then need to update the Status to "Send" in order to trigger e-signature through OP.Sign.
BONUS - totally hands-free workflow
With one small tweak you can make the whole workflow run on auto-pilot: create an automation ("Automate" at the top of the board) that goes like this:
When > column changes (file column) > change status (status column) > to "Send":
