This article uses DocuGen board views. If you are using a DocuGen item view, please refer to this article instead.
If you want to insert a table of items (or subitems) in your document, you need to (1) insert the relevant placeholders into your document template, and (2) select the board columns you want to insert into your document.
Inserting a table of items
Document template
To insert a table of items, include the <<table_header>> and <<table_body>> placeholders in the first column of a blank model table anywhere in your document:
The other columns can contain any text if it helps you format the table properly. They will be overwritten with the actual contents of your board when the document gets generated.
DocuGen board view
In the DocuGen board view attached to your board, go to Setup > Table styling and select the columns that should be inserted into the model table of your document template:
Make sure you select as many columns as your model table. For example, the model table above has four columns, and we selected four columns from the board.
Inserting a table of subitems
This is almost identical to items.
Document template
To insert a table of subitems, include the <<subitems_header>> and <<subitems_body>> placeholders in the first column of a blank model table anywhere in your document:
