In order to use DocuGen, you must add a DocuGen view to your board:
- DocuGen Generate item view -- ideal for generating item-specific documents
- DocuGen Generate board view -- ideal for generating documents with multiple items
- DocuGen Sign -- secure electronic signatures
DocuGen Generate item view
The DocuGen Generate item view is ideal if you need to generate documents based on any specific item from your board (including related subitems.) For example if each row on your board represents a customer order, use an item view to generate documents for each customer separately.
- Click on any item on your board
- On the side panel, click the + sign to add a new item view
- Search for 'DocuGen Generate' and add the view
Once you add a DocuGen view, you can rename it as you wish. You can add as many DocuGen views as you wish, each with its own settings and template.
DocuGen Generate board view
The DocuGen board view is ideal if you need to generate documents based on multiple items from your board. For example, if your board represents project tasks and you need to generate a progress report showing the status of each task, use a board view.
- Go to any board in your monday.com account and click on “+ Add View” or "+"
- From the Apps menu, search for "DocuGen Generate" and click on it
Once you add a DocuGen view, you can rename it as you wish. You can add as many DocuGen views as you wish, each with its own settings and template.
DocuGen Sign view
DocuGen Sign allows you to send documents for electronic signatures to one or more signers.
- Click on any item on your board
- On the side panel, click the + sign to add a new item view
- Search for 'DocuGen Sign' and add the view
Once you add a DocuGen view, you can rename it as you wish. You can add as many DocuGen views as you wish, each with its own settings.
