If you get an error trying to upload or download your template, this might be due to a number of reasons.
Browser or computer issue
Some browsers or operating systems may sometimes prevent DocuGen from uploading or downloading the templates. (You may see an error message that the file type is incorrect, or something similar.) Please try these workarounds:
- Try to upload the document template using another browser
- Try to upload the template from another computer
- If you're using a Windows computer, you may need to update your registry to allow DocuGen to recognize Word documents you upload. You can do this easily by downloading and running (double-clicking) the .reg file attached below. (Note: your computer might warn you about the file; it's a safe file that we've created specifically for this purpose; it doesn't compromise your computer in any way.)
Network restrictions
Your office network blocking access to DocuGen. To resolve this issue, request from your IT team to whitelist the following URL:
docugen-api-infra-produc-documentgenerationbucket-ebgwyjov9jb7.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com
Alternatively, you can try to upload/download your template from a different network, such as your home wifi.
Still not working?
If this doesn't resolve your issue, please contact our support team at support@docugen.io and attach your template and the DocuGen view ID (how to get the view ID).
